Chairs and Identity

In the performative exercise, we aim to create a conversation with somatic movement. These movements are affected by how the person had experienced life until today. We are exploring this conversation by using body language while the object acts as the mediator. Therefore, the object is what becomes our in-between space reminding us of our individual experiences and creating our own alternative existence in the buffer zone. While having a dialogue we strive to understand/answer specific questions such as; how much can an individual understand the experience of ‘the other’ and how does this experience influence our perception?.. After finishing the second year at the University of Nicosia, @_alice_wk and I participated in this year's Buffer Fringe festival among other students, where we experimented with the ideas
of performance. -an exercise to get together-
